The ball is in play at the EURO in France. The transfer merry-go-round is happening in Dortmund. The lights are still on late at night in the Head Office in the Rheinlanddamm. Michael Zorc has his work cut out. The sporting director does his work successfully without much fuss as he always does.

Zorc can confirm the transfers of Marc Bartra, Ousmane Dembélé, Sebastian Rode, Emre Mor and Raphael Guerreiro one by one after the transfer of Mikel Merino had already been negotiated in winter. Apart from Ilkay Gündogan (Manchester City) and Mats Hummels (Bayern Munich), two youngsters from the U23, who have both also been involved with the first team very briefly, left BVB: Marvin Ducksch transferred to FC St.Pauli, Marian Sarr moved on to the VfL Wolfsburg second team.

The U17 wins the "Stuttgart water-fight" by 2-1 and they qualify for the German Championship final for the third time in a row after winning the 2nd leg 5-1. However they don't manage to make it a hattrick of titles and the historical club double of A- and B-Youth Championships doesn't happen. The team of Head Coach Benjamin Hoffmann lose narrowly, but deservedly to Bayer Leverkusen in front of 6150 spectators at the Rote Erde stadium. Who kows what would have happened if Emre Aydinel had not hit the outside of the net and instead scored a goal, when he had already gone around the Leverkusen goalkeeper after a BVB counter attack in the 3.minute. The Black Yellows were also unlucky when they hit the cross bar in the 15.minute.

99.85% of the 55000 season ticket holders in 2015/16 renew their season tickets. Only 84 BVB fans don't take advantage of their option to renew their season tickets. Hans-Joachim Watzke emphasised: "this is a remarkable sign of trust going into the new season. We will promise our fans that next season we will play football with all our heart and passion, be this at home in the Signal Iduna Park or away from home."

Borussia mourns the loss of one of their oldest members: Paul Burchardt dies at the age of 99 years. He joined BVB on the 1.August 1934. Finance Director Dr. Reinhold Lunow said: "Paul Burchardt was a member of our club for 81 years. That is an unusually long time. Our thoughts are with his family and those who were close to him." (br)
