Italian referee Daniele Orsato will oversee the UEFA Champions League quarter-final first leg between Borussia Dortmund and AS Monaco on Tuesday. It will be the 41-year-old match official's 17th game in the competition and his 60th in total at European level.

Orsato was used by FIFA at the U20 World Cup in 2015 and has been a top-tier referee in Italy since 2006. He currently has 175 Serie A matches (914 yellow cards) under his belt. He has also officiated 13 senior international games, brandishing 49 cards. In his 16 Champion League appearances to date, he has cautioned 57 players and sent off two.

Mauro Tonolini and Lorenzo Manganelli will be the two linesmen, with Paolo Valeri and Massimiliano Irrati the goal-line referees. The fourth official is Alessandro Costanzo. (br)
