Hans-Joachim Watzke paid a visit to the Borussia Dortmund team on Wednesday morning. "I've called on them to show everyone out there that we will not give in to terror."

Hans-Joachim Watzke:

"The BVB family has always been particularly strong when there have been difficult situations to overcome. This is perhaps the most difficult sitution that we've had in the past few decades. And I'm sure that we will portray an image of a BVB that is stronger and more united than ever before!

We're not just playing for ourselves tonight. We're playing for everyone, whether they're Borussia Dortmund, Bayer or Schalke. We want to show that terror and hate shall never determine our actions. And of course, we're playing for Marc Bartra, who wants to see his team win!

We'd like to ask all BVB fans to support our team with all their energy for the full 90 minutes today. The team has had to come to terms with something incomprehensible in the shortest-possible time. We all need to help them to perform as well as they possibly can.

I've just been in the changing rooms and called on the team to show everyone out there that we will not give in to terror."
