Borussia Dortmund against 1. FC Köln. The two traditional clubs face each other for the 84. time in the Bundesliga. The former "bogey team" has turned into a very welcome guest: in the past years FC has always brought along a lot of fans - and they have always left the points in Dortmund. As always we have put together all the infos to the West Derby in a compact summary.

Situation: the second best attacking force (65 goals) in the league faces a defence that has allowed their ooponents the second fewest chances on goal in the league. However the second best defence of the first half of the season has conceded 21 goals in the last eleven games.

Home/away: Borussia Dortmund has won every one of their six games at home in 2017 and all in all they have been unbeaten at home in 35 home matches. 1. FC Köln have lost four of their last five away games (one draw). The last away win was on the 28. January by 6-1 in Darmstadt.

Personnel: Bartra (arm OP), Götze (metabolic disease), Rode (muscle injury), Sahin (partial tear of the lateral collateral ligament) and Schürrle (achilles problem) are missing for Black Yellow, Rausch and Guirassy (both muscle problems), Risse (rehab training after cruciate ligament injury) and also Zoller (backlog in training) are missing for FC.

Record so far: the last time Black Yellow did not score against 1. FC Köln in a home game was nearly 28 years ago, on the 16. September 1989 when the two teams drew 0-0. The last time Köln won in Dortmund was 26 years ago: they won 2-1 on the 13. April 1991 through a brace by Maurice Banach. All in all however BVB has only won one point out of the last five matches against FC - before that they won eight games in a row against them.

Statistic: BVB has won three of the last four league matches and they have managed to score at least one goal in each of  their last 21 games. There have only  been more goals per game in matches involving Bremen (101) than in those involving Dortmund (100). Köln has only won one of their last five games (on the 4. April 1-0 against Frankfurt), however they have managed to score in all but one of their last 13 matches.

The highest win at home: on the 15. October 1966 BVB won 6-1 at the "Rote Erde" stadium through goals by Emmerich (3), Wosab (2) and Held. Jendrossek scored for Köln.

Spectators: the Signal Iduna Park is completely sold out with 81 360 spectators. 8000 fans will be coming from Köln.

Referee: Tobias Stieler, a 35 year old lawyer from Hamburg will be in charge of his tenth game involving BVB. So far BVB has drawn once, lost once and won seven times when he has been in charge of the match, whereby the last two matches were the home games against Bayern and Leipzig (both 1-0).
