Peter Bosz: "I am really satisfied. 3-0 In Wolfsburg is a great result! Overall it was a very good team performance. Christian Pulisic is still very young, but did really well today – and not just because of his goal. He was all over the pitch, created lots of dangerous situations and played really well. The same is true of Mario Götze, a similarly brilliant player. Mario hasn't played for some time, and so we need to be patient. It is important that he remains healthy and gets game time. But you could see his quality again today."

Nuri Sahin: "I would very much like to read the following headlines: 'Mario Götze, really enjoying his football, really light on his feet'. (Laughs). We were really well prepared and knew where to find space. What more is there to say: our plan was executed perfectly. We had 75% possession, and that alone speaks volumes. A totally deserved win, that was never in doubt for one minute."

Lukasz Piszczek: "Of course I am very proud to be the Polish player with the most appearances in the Bundesliga. It makes me even more proud to be able to play for Borussia Dortmund. We played a very, very good game. Defensively, we gave away practically no chances, and made it very difficult for Wolfsburg as such."

Christian Pulisic: "Such a win on the first day of the Bundesliga is of course very important for us. We played very well from kick-off on. I would probably give my goal a B grade. (Laughs). Marc's goal was a little bit better, an A grade for his effort."

Marc Bartra: "I am very, very happy and satisfied. Winning here in the first game of the season was very important."

"I was really happy for Mario Götze"

Mario Gomez (VfL Wolfsburg Captain): "I was really happy for Mario Götze. Especially prior to the game, as I saw that he would start. That made me really very happy. I have already said that I'll never forget the day when Mario first joined the national side. I thought back then: 'Whoa, what a player we've got here'. I hope that he'll be able to play as freely as he did then again." (djg)
