Peter Bosz seemed pleased with the win over Hertha BSC, but is not yet completely satisfied with how his team are playing. "More than anything, when in possession playing against such a compact opponent, we need to move the ball faster and switch sides more quickly", said Bosz. Nuri Sahin and Mario Götze also gave their views on the game to sky. The initial reactions.

Peter Bosz: "The atmosphere was unbelievable. It was great at the Supercup already, but today it was even better. I am satisfied with the result, but we still need to work on our game. More than anything, when in possession of the ball playing against such a compact opponent, we need to move the ball faster, and change sides more quickly. Nuri was often free, but it took too long for the ball to find its way to him. When Nuri got onto the ball in midfield areas, things became dangerous. Sokratis was ill a couple of days ago, something was wrong with his stomach, and so it looked as though he wasn't quite at full strength today. That's why we took him off. It doesn't make any difference to us that we are currently top of the table. I hope we will be able to say that after 34 games, that's when it is important, but not after two games. Nevertheless, it is good we have started like this. We have scored five goals and conceded none. That's strong."

Nuri Sahin: "I wasn't really lurking for my goal, that is where we are supposed to be standing, and that is what our trainer demands from us number 6s, so that we can pick up the rebound. I ran up there speculatively, the ball fell nicely for me and I struck it sweetly. In summer, I had a career defining moment in front of me. It was important for me to learn the right lessons from last year. It's important for me simply to be utilised. I had a good chat with the manager, and after that it was all about "work work work". Our preparation went very well, you can see that on the pitch. And that's exactly where I have to keep performing."

Mario Götze: "It was a great feeling for me once again on the pitch. I need the rhythm and the games in order to get my fitness back and to get back to 100%. I am grateful to be able to stand on the pitch, especially here in our own stadium. And when we win 2-0 against such an opponent as Hertha, against whom we have often made heavy weather of it, it is even better. We can be very satisfied."

"All in all, a deserved win for BVB"

Pal Dardai (Hertha BSC Manager): "I am angry that we didn't manage to get one back. Overall, we were not aggressive enough going forward, but had a decent amount of chances nonetheless. The first goal was especially soft. All in all, it was a deserved win for Dortmund, they played better than we did." (djg)
