After three years – and 73 third and fourth tier matches between the sticks for Borussia Dortmund's U23s – Hendrik Bonmann is leaving the club at his own request to join TSV 1860 Munich in the Regionalliga Süd.

The 23-year-old joined Borussia Dortmund from Rot-Weiss Essen in summer 2013 and became a popular figure in Westphalia. His performances were a big part of that, the shot-stopper keeping 25 clean sheets in 62 Regionalliga games. He also featured on the bench as substitute goalkeeper for the first team on several occasions in the Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League.

Bonmann has not yet featured at all this season due to an ankle injury. At his own request, he will now be leaving Borussia Dortmund to join TSV 1860 Munich.

BVB would like to wish Hendrik Bonmann all the best for the future!
