Borussia Dortmund's U23s want to go into the international break jocular of mood and having collected three points. After two consecutive defeats against Aachen and Oberhausen, Jan Siewert's team have the opportunity this coming Saturday to increase their points tally to 19.

TuS Erndtebrück will certainly have something to say about that, though. The visitors are currently languishing in 16th place in the Regional League West table, and have picked up a mere seven points. Florian Schnorrenberg's eleven have won only once, defeating Alemannia Aachen on matchday seven. A familiar face will also be making his return with TuS Erndtebrück to Strobelallee. Tim Treude played more than 100 games for Borussia Dortmund's U19s and subsequently their U23s. The defensive midfielder is currently captain of his team.

After disappointing performances against Aachen and Oberhausen, it is up to BVB now to arrest this mini losing streak as quickly as possible so as to remain within touching distance of the table's apex. They are scheduled to play a series of games against their direct competition at the top of the table in October, namely, Uerdingen, Wuppertal, and Wiedenbrück. There is of course still some time remaining beforehand.

During the long break, one or two of the players will be able to participate in team training sessions. Massimo Ornatelli and Jo-Hoo Park are still undertaking individual training sessions at the moment. Sören Dieckmann, who picked up a yellow then red in the game against Oberhausen, will also be absent. Kick-off is on Saturday at 14:00 CEST in the Rote Erde stadium.
