Borussia Dortmund are the first derby winners of the season. The U19s won their top of the table clash in the A-Juniors Bundesliga West after putting in a brilliantly combative performance to emerge with a 3-1 victory.

Dominik Wanner gave the Black and Yellows the lead with a spectacular shot from 20 metres out into the top left hand corner of goal (28'), after which Hüseyin Bulut doubled their goal advantage to 2-0 having been assisted by Yassin Ibrahim just before the whistle was blown for halftime. Substitute Robin Kehr scored in the 90' minute to bring up the 3-0 scoreline, before Schalke's Czyborra was able to offer his side some consolation.

Borussia's U17s remain undefeated, but dropped points for the first time this season in a 4-4 draw against Schalke. In a turbulent match, trainer Sebastian Geppert's boys found themselves 0-1, 1-3, and 2-4 behind at various junctures during the game. Seconds before time was called, they got their rewards for their superb effort to rein in their opponent thanks to a goal from U16 player Ware Pakia, meaning they secured a point for themselves and prevented Schalke from replacing them at the top of the table. (wiwi)
