Central defender Neven Subotic will make his first start for Borussia Dortmund in more than a year and a half when Peter Bosz's charges take on Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday afternoon.

The absence of six defenders – Sokratis (suspended), Ömer Toprak (thigh strain), Marcel Schmelzer, Lukasz Piszczek, Raphael Guerreiro and Erik Durm – will mean crowd favourite Subotic lines up in the Black & Yellow starting XI for the first time since 17 March 2015, when he played the full 90 minutes as BVB won 2-1 at Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Europa League. He last featured in the Bundesliga on 2 March 2015 in a 2-0 victory over Darmstadt 98.

The starting XI: Bürki, Subotic, Bartra, Sahin, Götze, Toljan, Aubameyang, Philipp, Pulisic, Castro, Weigl
The substitutes: Weidenfeller, Zagadou, Sancho, Yarmolenko, Isak, Kagawa, Bruun-Larsen (br)
