For the first time in the history of the UEFA Champions League, 30 or more shots on goal were not enough to win a match. Two clubs fell prey to the breaking of this record on Wednesday: Borussia Dortmund and Atlético Madrid.

Fireworks: The Borussia men had 30 shots on Apoel Nicosia's goal, while Atético Madrid's players peppered Qarabagh's with even more, 33 to be precise. Both matches ended 1-1.

The Wrong Result: The Black and Yellows had 30 shots to Nicosia's 4, had 78% possession, and won 68% of their tackles. Nevertheless, it only earned them a 1-1 draw.

Goal Scorer: Raphael Guerreiro scored his second European goal in his first start since 27 May (in the cup final against Frankfurt). His first came on 14 September 2016 in the 6-0 thrashing of Warsaw. (br)
