Following the late-notice cancellation of their home game against 1. FC Köln, the Borussia Dortmund U23s have another away game on the agenda. They will face Bonner SC on Sunday.

Jan Siewert's side will face their North Rhine-Westphalian neighbours at the unusual kick-off time of 18:00 CET. Bonner SC currently occupy 14th place in the table and are on the up after winning their last two league games. Daniel Zillken's charges also picked up a win in the Mittelrheinpokal, meaning they will be full of optimism ahead of their meeting with the Black & Yellows.

For their part, Borussia Dortmund's U23s have dropped to ninth in the table following the cancellation of their match last week. They have 22 points on the board from their opening 14 matches. Should they win their two games in hand, BVB could move up to third in the table with 28 points. But that's conjecture at this stage. Of much greater significance is the last match of the first half of the season against Bonner SC. BVB avoided defeat in both of their meetings last season, picking up one victory and one draw.

New signing Denzeil Boadum, who was granted eligibility to play this week, could be involved for the first time. The match at the Sportpark Nord in Bonn will kick off at 18:00 CET on Sunday evening. (tl)
