The tried-and-tested transport and security concept used for derbies in recent years will be deployed again on Saturday. For the fans, that means operational changes to their travel plans both at the main train station ("Hauptbahnhof") and at the stops "Stadion" and "Westfalenhallen". In addition, all spectators attending the match are strongly advised to begin their journey to the stadium early.

U45/U46: "Stadion" for BVB fans
The U45 (from Hauptbahnhof) and U46 (from Brunnenstraße / Brügmannplatz) metro lines will only transport spectators to the "Stadion" stop. It will not be possible for BVB fans to get off at the "Westfalenhalle" stop. The same rule applies for the return journey. In other words, fans may only board metro lines U45 and U46 at the "Stadion" stop.

U42/Uni Shuttle: "Theodor-Fliedner-Heim"
As usual, the U42 metro line (Grevel – Schulte-Rödding – Reinoldikirche – Theodor-Fliedner-Heim – Hombruch) will be travelling towards Signal Iduna Park, with "Theodor-Fliedner-Heim" the closest stop to the stadium. This is also the point of arrival for the "Uni Shuttle", which will travel from the car parks at the University to the "Theodor-Fliedner-Heim" stop. Please beware that for security reasons, access to the platform in both directions is controlled at the "Theodor-Fliedner-Heim" stop. The same applies for the "Stadion" stop.

Hauptbahnhof: Replacement stops for bus lines
Anyone who is travelling to the Hauptbahnhof via one of the five bus lines (452, 453, 455, 456 and 475) and getting on the metro there will have slightly further to go on foot. This is because the buses will not be operating from the north exit of the Hauptbahnhof. Instead, replacement stops will be set up on Grüne Straße at the location of the Kurfürstenstraße junction.

Hauptbahnhof: Southern access to the metro for BVB fans
Usually on BVB matchdays, fans are able to access the platform at the "Hauptbahnhof" stop via the north side. For the derby, however, this entrance is reserved for fans of Schalke 04 who will be arriving at Dortmund Hauptbahnhof via special trains and then directed to the metro via the north exit. For Dortmund passengers and BVB fans, this means that they will only be able to access the platform from which southbound trains depart (Hörde, Stadion, Aplerbeck, Hacheney) via the southern exit below the staircase to the DB level.

Additional connections
As on normal BVB matchdays, additional buses will be travelling between Schanze, Kirchhörde, Brünninghausen and Stadion. The two vehicles, which at the end of every match depart from the "Löschteich" bus bay on the B1 in front of Westfalenhallen and travel towards Schüren/Aplerbeck, will at full-time depart from the bus bay at the "Westfalenhallen" stop.

Travel with plenty of time
To arrive at Signal Iduna Park in time for the game, spectators should ensure that they travel early and factor in more time than usual for the outward journey. DSW21 asks all fans and customers for understanding regarding the necessary deviations and for patience if there are any late-notice changes to the operational procedure. Please follow the instructions issued by DSW21 employees, the police and law enforcement agencies.

Our tip: Stadium visitors sitting in the West/Northwest section would be advised to travel with the U42, while spectators in the East section should take the U45.
