"Not just words but action needed"
On the sidelines of the general meeting, team captain Marcel Schmelzer answered journalists' questions. "We players are on the pitch and take full responsibility for that," the 29-year-old said.
Marcel Schmelzer on the mood:
"It was one of the bitterest nights that I experienced after a game. There is a huge amount of frustration and disappointment within the team."
... on the tactical approach:
"There have already been a few conversations between different players, but now - less than 24 hours after the game - there has not been a chance where we could all talk intensively together. We must and will find time for the big analysis in the next few days. I think it's good that we now have a full training week, where we not only talk about it, but also do some things to make it better. It's not just words but action needed. "
... on the uncertainty after conceding:
"That's one of the issues we have to properly deal with. It is a central problem. We shouldn't be falling apart like we did after conceding."
... about the pressure on Manager Peter Bosz:
"That's the business. But we players are on the pitch and we are responsible. Most of us have many Bundesliga games under our belt - we have to pull ourselves together and come out of this situation together." (br)
