Two are still out – but four are back, as are all the "stomach bug sufferers". That is, in short, Borussia Dortmund's personnel situation ahead of the Bundesliga restart against VfL Wolfsburg on Sunday (18:00 CET).

"Our group is slightly larger again," said Peter Stöger on Friday. The coach is still without the injured Marcel Schmelzer and Raphael Guerreiro, but he can welcome back Mario Götze, Lukasz Piszczek, Gonzalo Castro and Erik Durm, who "did pretty well" during the two weeks of training in Marbella and Dortmund. "That gives us possibilities. We're happy to have the lads back," he added.

After 11 days of preparations, the convalescent players are not yet back to 100 percent fitness and the tactical approach of the entire team still needs to be fine-tuned. "Things that we wanted to implement, we did," said Stöger, who continued: "Although we didn't manage everything, there will be sufficient time for us to do so over the course of the coming weeks."

Nonetheless, the coach is hoping that on Sunday his team can "play in a way that will make it slightly easier for them, at least in basic terms". He wants them to "boss proceedings," and deliver an offensive and dominant display "without losing their organisation". Because Wolfsburg are "very good at switching the play" and an opponent "that can hurt you. That makes it important that you're organised on the pitch." (br)
