Aside from Marcel Schmelzer, Raphael Guerreiro, Erik Durm, Maximilian Philipp, Marco Reus and Sebastian Rode, Peter Stöger has a full complement to choose from for the upcoming home game against Sportclub Freiburg. "Everyone who has been available recently is available this weekend too," he said.

That comment would seem to suggest the doubts surrounding Jeremy Toljan no longer persist. "He was out at the start of the week but completed a full training session yesterday," explained the coach on Thursday, adding: "He will be involved as normal again today."

Stöger also addressed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's situation: "The impression he has made over the past few weeks has been good so far. If everything continues in the same fashion, then I would say he qualifies for the squad this weekend."

Alexander Isak and André Schürrle started as the lone frontman against Wolfsburg and Hertha respectively, and the coach was not dissatisfied with either. "For Schürrle, it was difficult to get into the game in the first half. We were too slow with our passing and build-up play. He got along better when Isak was on the pitch too; that opened up more space for him and he was more in the game," said Stöger of Schürrle. Of Isak, he added: "Alex had chances to score goals in his two appearances. You can see that he understands the situation in dangerous areas – and I can see that he's growing in confidence in training." (br)
