Having drawn 0-0 with Wolfsburg and 1-1 with Hertha in the capital, BVB will be gunning for their first victory since the winter break when they play host to Sportclub Freiburg on Saturday (15:30 CET). Here we bring you Peter Stöger's comments from Thursday's press conference.

The Austrian tactician began by speaking about Freiburg and declaring himself a "fan of this team and its coach", attributing his admiration to the fact "they're always capable of springing a surprise and they have always managed to bounce back strongly following difficult periods". Stöger labelled the recent 2-1 victory over Leipzig as "a prime example" and spoke with great respect about a "team that never gives up. That makes them very dangerous for any opponent". Their strengths: "Amazingly good set-pieces, good switch-play and good organisation."

They will be coming up against a Dortmund team that initially struggled to get into their games against Wolfsburg and Hertha, although as time wore on they looked more fluid in their link-up play, creating numerous goalscoring chances and hitting the woodwork on three occasions. "We want to build on the second half in Berlin," said Stöger. "That was impressive. We had enough chances to score." He demanded his team "properly carry out the elements of play we deploy" and "make use of the opportunities we get to score goals". (br)
