"After the equaliser we lost our way and the certainty went out of our game," said BVB coach Peter Stöger of the match against Freiburg. When pressed about the current situation, he responded: "In the training sessions, I do not get the feeling that the mood is negative."

What's your take on the match?
"We made a really good start, but after the equaliser we lost our way and the certainty went out of our game. Freiburg then grew stronger, which for us meant more work, willingness to run and consistency – as well as making effort to get into dangerous areas. For long spells, I did not see that in our game. Ultimately, we will have to be satisfied with the point, because the game did not yield anything more for 70 minutes. Based on this line of thinking, we're happy to take the point."

What's your view on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's performance?
"I'd say he has had better games. On the one hand it was not the best performance from the player himself, but on the other hand you have to say that we didn't manage to get him enough decent service to allow him shots at goal. In the end he was one of a larger group of players who did not deliver their optimal level of performance."

To what extent is the current uncertainty in your squad affecting the situation?
"I am reluctant to use that as an argument. Within the team and our training sessions, I do not get the feeling the mood is negative. I could make it easier for myself and say that we have now drawn three games in a row because there is something else going on that is not overly pleasant. But I would not like to reduce it to that – certainly not for today's game." (djg)
