The Black & Yellows were angry with the match and their performance in the wake of their first-leg defeat to Salzburg. But they're by no means giving up. Here we bring you the match reactions.

Marcel Schmelzer: "We allowed the opposition to grow into the game. We ourselves had enough opportunities but we didn't come up with the solutions. We need to take the initiative in a week's time; it'll be very, very difficult for us. We deserved to lose, that simply cannot be allowed to happen at home. In the return leg, we'll need to improve on a lot of the things we didn't do well today."

Gonzalo Castro: "We didn't actually play too badly in the first half. But once they went 2-0 up it was difficult for us to get back into the game. We were missing that last bit of power and that last bit of consistency. We now have a clear roadmap for the return leg."

"But everything is still possible in the return leg"

Maximilian Philipp: "We're disappointed with the result, we'd envisaged it going quite differently. I think we deserved to get a draw. In the return leg, we'll have to perform significantly better."

Christian Pulisic: "We made a bright start, were very energetic. But Salzburg got into the game more as it progressed, and we didn't manage to create goalscoring chances. But everything is still possible in the return leg."
