Goals are almost guaranteed – there has only ever been one goalless draw – when Borussia Dortmund meet Eintracht Frankfurt, with previous clashes between the pair producing an average of 3.2 per game. Here we have compiled everything you need to know about the game on Sunday (kick-off 18:00 CET) into the usual compact format.

The scenario: Third-placed Dortmund and fourth-placed Frankfurt are only separated by goal difference. BVB have more victories (42) and home wins (31) against SGE than any other club.

Home/away: Borussia Dortmund have won each of their last six games against Eintracht Frankfurt at the Strobelallee and have not failed to score in any of their last 20 home clashes with the men from Hesse. BVB are still unbeaten at home in the league under Peter Stöger. Only Bayern Munich have more away victories (10) than Frankfurt (six). However, the Eagles have not won on the road since beating Wolfsburg 3-1 on 20 January.

Personnel matters: Peter Stöger will provide a personnel update at today's press conference at 14:00 CET (live on BVBtotal!). Frankfurt's injury crisis from the first half of the season has improved, with only Mascarell (foot injury) still receiving treatment and unavailable.

Head-to-head: The Black & Yellows have more victories over Frankfurt (42) than any other team, have their best goal difference against the men from Hesse (+46) and have kept more clean sheets against Frankfurt than other team (25). BVB have taken a 1-0 lead in 28 home games against Frankfurt, winning 26 (one draw, one loss). Seven Frankfurt players – but only one Black & Yellow – have been sent off in previous meetings in Dortmund. Only against Bremen do BVB have as many home wins as they do against Frankfurt (31). Dortmund have won their last six home games against Eintracht, scoring 19 and conceding three.

Statistics: Borussia Dortmund are unbeaten in 10 Bundesliga matches. That's their longest unbeaten run since 2015/16, when the Black & Yellows avoided defeat in 15 consecutive matches between Rounds 18 and 33. The last defeat was a 2-1 loss against Bremen on 9 December 2017, when Peter Bosz was still in charge. Only Bayern Munich (59) have scored more goals than Borussia Dortmund (50). Eintracht have won three of their last four games and have conceded the second-fewest goals in the league (27) after Bayern (18).

Biggest home win: The Westphalians have twice won by a 6-0 scoreline. The first came in front of 22,507 fans on 26 November 1988, with Günter Breitzke (hat-trick), Michael Zorc, Norbert Dickel and Frank Pagelsdorf scoring the goals. The second came seven and a half years later, on 23 March 1996, when Karlheinz Riedle (two), Michael Zorc, Steffen Freund, Jörg Heinrich and Stéphane Chapuisat all netted in the opening 65 minutes in front of a sell-out crowd of 42,400 fans.

Referee: The DFB has yet to announce the appointment.

Attendance: Signal Iduna Park is not yet completely sold out. There are around 500 tickets remaining in the North Stand. They are also available online. Compiled by Boris Rupert
