Germany have claimed their first World Cup win from a losing position at half-time since 1974. A goal from Marco Reus in the 48th minute and a curler from Toni Kroos in the fifth minute of injury time handed reigning champions Germany a 2-1 (0-1) victory over Sweden and means qualification is in their own hands going into the last game.

Dortmund midfielder Reus scored from a central position in the box to make it 1-1 at the start of the second half, before setting up Kroos for the winner with a one-two from a free-kick as the ten men of Germany came from behind to take all three points.

"We didn't stop trying to play football despite being down to ten men," said Reus after the game. "There have been lots of late goals at this World Cup. Tonight the luck was on our side." (br)
