The BVB Legends will be embarking upon a journey to Thailand on Thursday, where they will come up against Buriram United in Bangkok on Sunday.

The delegation − spearheaded by Nobby Dickel and Jörg Heinrich as sporting representative − is brimming with all the stars of recent decades. The Brazilian contingent alone promises Samba football in Asia, with captain Julio César joined by the likes of Marcio Amoroso, Dede, Tinga, Evanilson, Ewerthon and Leandro in a mostly Brazilian squad.

The 2014 World Cup winner Roman Weidenfeller will be keeping goal for Dortmund. He will be joined by other Borussia greats such as Patrick Owomoyela, Florian Kringe, Mladen Petric, Mohamed Zidan, Miroslav Stevic and Karlheinz Riedle, who scored two goals in the victorious 1997 UEFA Champions League final.

In addition to sporting matters, the delegation will attend a number of PR events and thus play an important role as ambassadors for the club. (flü)
