Starting from 1 February 2019, the Borussia Dortmund Online Ticket Shop will no longer charge an additional fee for customers using the "print at home" service for tickets. The flat fee of €1.50 per "print at home" ticket transaction, which was previously charged by service provider eventimsports, will be completely scrapped from this date. In addition to Borussia Dortmund home games, this applies to BVB stadium tours too.

"In our efforts to continually improve the level of service, we're convinced that technology shouldn't cost anything," declared BVB managing director Carsten Cramer, who added: "We're delighted to be able to offer stadium visitors and BVB fans the service of printing their tickets from their home PC without additional fees in the future."

"Print at home" refers to the technology whereby one can print tickets for BVB home games on a conventional printer at home. The barcode means each ticket is a unique specimen. The validity of the ticket is checked and registered using a scanner at the gates, ensuring copies and fakes stand no chance. "Print at home" tickets for Borussia Dortmund can be booked in the BVB Online Ticket Shop by any fan who has been sent tickets by postal order on at least one occasion.
