Borussia Dortmund will be without Marco Reus for their home game against TSG Hoffenheim on Saturday afternoon (15:30 CET). The BVB captain "sustained a muscle injury" in the DFB Cup tie against Werder Bremen on Tuesday and "won't be able to play tomorrow," explained sporting director Michael Zorc.

It is currently unclear how long Reus will be sidelined. A return for the UEFA Champions League clash away to Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday has not been ruled out. "We'll make a decision on that at the start of next week," said Zorc.

"Any team would miss Marco on his current form," added the sporting director. "But everyone needs to be able to be replaced. That'll be the task of the other players." Potential candidates for Reus' role include Mario Götze and Maximilian Philipp. Zorc concluded: "What will it [the team] look like tomorrow? I don't have a coaching license..." (br)
