"It's tough to take." Manfred Stefes and Mario Götze were agreed on that point after BVB let slip a 3-0 lead against Hoffenheim. Here follows the post-match opinion.

Manfred Stefes: "It's extremely hard to take given we played a great game for 75 minutes and could have gone 4-0 up, but then we go and draw. We were a little bit naïve in our defending for the three goals, and lost the decisive battles unfortunately. We had contact with Lucien Favre during the match. I spoke with him on the telephone briefly after the game was over, and he's just as disappointed as we are. It's very annoying of course but we still got a point from it. The team will put this game behind them."

Mario Götze: "It's really tough to take when you're leading 3-0 against strong opposition like Hoffenheim at home and then go on to draw 3-3. We shouldn't allow that to happen. We played very well for long spells. Even if the manager is absent, we have to deliver out on the pitch. We need to get the result over the line with confidence. Things went well for me today, but I would have loved to win."
