The BVB Girls' and Boys' Day took place at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK on Thursday 28 March 2019. The event was attended by 15 lucky KidsClub members, who spent the day getting to know what it's like to work for BVB and taking a look behind the scenes.

The kids made a bright and early start to their exciting "day at work", meeting at the stadium at 08:45 where they were welcomed by EMMA, the KidsClub team and the HR department. The participants were initially given an overview of the different occupational fields at Borussia Dortmund – over 800 members are active at the club in all sorts of different jobs and business fields! Antonia and Gilda, two of the apprentices, presented their training as wholesale and foreign trade merchants and gave the kids some good tips about searching for a future apprenticeship.

That was followed by an exclusive stadium tour that took them to the press area, executive boxes, mixed zone, player tunnel and the edge of the pitch. Here, too, they gathered to listen to exciting information presented to them about jobs at the stadium on matchdays.

Having been divided into groups, the kids were shown the ropes by BVB.tv, the groundsmen, the Soccer School and marketing and organisation departments. The kids gave it all a go themselves, even making their own videos, conducting interviews, maintaining the BVB turf and planning the 2019 Season Opening Ceremony.

After all eating lunch together, there was another surprise on the agenda – a meeting with Thomas Delaney and Patrick Owomoyela! The duo were both guests on the Matchday Magazine and then took some extra time to take selfies and sign autographs for the youngsters.

Last of all, each team briefly presented its results to the other groups, ensuring the kids all left with a good impression of just how diverse working at BVB can really be – both on and off the pitch.
