Borussia Dortmund played commandingly for 60 minutes and had 21 shots on goal. They have only managed more this season in the 3-2 win over Berlin (25). Here follow the facts on the match in Bremen.

A game of two halves: After registering a 57% possession rate and winning 53% of their tackles in the first half, Dortmund's share of the ball fell to 53% and they won only 44% of their tackles in the second.

Early start: Christian Pulisic has never scored more quickly after kick-off in the Bundesliga. It was BVB's quickest goal since matchday eight, when Jason Sancho found the back of the net in the third minute of the 4-0 rout of Stuttgart. Pulisic was involved in six of Dortmund's 13 shots in the first half (he took three himself and set up another three), and "won" the free-kick that gave BVB a 2-0 lead.

Distance: Paco Alcacer scored a wonderful direct free-kick for 2-0. He has scored six goals in his previous six Bundesliga appearances and has converted three of his six direct free-kicks. He is the league's top-scorer from distance with five goals from range to his name. The last player to have scored 18 goals for BVB after 32 matchdays was Norbert Dickel in 1987.

Premiere: Manuel Akanji played at right back from the beginning on for the first time ever in the Bundesliga, while Raphael Guerreiro played at left back in the Bundesliga for the first time in two years. Akanji has only worn the captain's armband once before, doing so on matchday 27 in the 2-0 win against Wolfsburg.
