A warm welcome awaited 14 Black & Yellow legends as they arrived at Hong Kong airport. Roughly a year has gone by since the Dortmund old boys beat their Liverpool counterparts 3-2 to mark the beginning of last season. Now the two sides are going head to head once more, with the match taking place this Saturday at 10:00 CET in the Hong Kong stadium.

Borussia Dortmund are a headline attraction far beyond their local region the Ruhrpott. In the build-up to Saturday's match, the former pros will get to grips with some local culture and introduce themselves to Hong Kong-based members of the Black & Yellow faithful. On the agenda are a dragon boat race and a Cantonese lunch, followed by the obligatory training session. Initially the legends team will be put through their paces by player-coaches Jörg Heinrich and Mladen Petric, who will then lead a session with local academy players

Saturday is matchday! While the BVB first team are either out on international duty or away on holiday, the legends side are ready and raring to go. The Dortmund old boys are hoping to continue their unbeaten run against the likes of Luis Garcia, Robbie Fowler and former Black & Yellow Patrick Berger. After making their debut in the summer of 2018 with a 3-2 win over Liverpool and travelling to Thailand for a first-ever overseas game against Buriram (1-1), player-coach Jörg Heinrich and coach Nobby Dickel's BVB side are confident going into their third legends match. Club legends such as Champions League winners Karl-Heinz Riedle and Jörg Heinrich will face some of the current Champions League holders' all-time greats.
