Borussia Dortmund has issued a total of 46 stadium bans for Berlin supporters in the wake of fan violence at the Bundesliga match between BVB and Hertha BSC on October 27, 2018. Nine of these nationwide effective stadium bans were suspended on probation. In total, the authorities identified 51 offenders by name and were able to provide their details to the authorities. In five cases, a stadium ban was waived.

“The investigations, the individual assessment of each case and the imposition of the sentences were carried out in a transparent procedure according to DFB guidelines in cooperation with the investigating authorities and Hertha BSC, " explained Borussia Dortmund's director for organization, Dr. Christian Hockenjos. This resulted in 37 nationwide stadium bans ranging between twelve and 36 months, as well as nine stadium bans issued on probation.

Accordingly, BVB’s stadium prohibition officer and a fan representative travelled to Berlin specifically to take part in the hearings.
