Captain Marco Reus praised the good team performance in his interview with Sky after the 4-0 win in Mainz. Julian Weigl attributed the improved performances in recent weeks to the change of system.

Marco Reus: "We've tended to struggle a bit here in recent years, because Mainz can really apply a lot of pressure at home. We told ourselves that we'd need to be completely focused and continue with the kind of performances we have produced in our last two or three matches. We had a lot of opportunities in the first half and we scored the opening goal too. Then it was important to add to that. Zaga's performance in the second period was outstanding. He shows that in training from time to time too. It was a good team display. We need to build on this."

Julian Weigl: "The change of system has done us good. It was the right step to shore up the defence. It's been working very well to date. The last few matches have given us courage, and slowly we're regaining our self-belief in possession of the ball. You need that to win 4-0 here."
