The BVB Veterans XI will take part in the second "Bananenflanker Budenzauber" indoor charity football tournament, taking place this Saturday at Regensburg's Donau Arena from 15:30 to 21:30 CET.

Coach Günter Kutowski is counting on all-out attack, with a team including Frank Mill, Jan Koller, Martin Driller, Toni da Silva and Giovanni Federico. It will likely be needed, too, in order to go toe to toe in this high quality indoor tournament, against teams such as current champions TSV 1860 Munich. Hosts Jahn Regensburg have assembled a formidable array of top sides including 1.FC Nuremberg, the Czech Team of '96, Bayer Leverkusen, the Kurt Landauer Veterans XI (undoubtedly featuring Bayern Munich legends, given that Kurt Landauer was a former Bayern president) and the "Bananenflanker", who can boast Ivan Klasnic, Dariusz Wosz and Zwetschge Misimovic among their ranks. Dortmund's defensive leader Steffen Karl, however, is just focusing on keeping the "Regensburger Domspatzen" cathedral choir at bay.
