Fans were able to enjoy a total of 16 goals in the U17s and U19s warm up games on the artificial turf pitch at the Hohenbuschei youth performance centre.

The U17s won 5-4 against Niederrhein league leaders RW Essen. Sebastian Geppert’s side were leading 5-1 after an hour, with the goals from Tekin Gencoglu (2), Hafani Bouraima, Chrysanth Mallek and Samuel Bamba. BVB’s win was soured by a serious injury to defender Noah Mrosek, who is believed to have suffered an ankle ligament tear.

A heavily depleted U19 side were leading 2-0 until the 53rd minute against TSG Hoffenheim, through a couple of goals from Youssoufa Moukoko. However, after some enforced substitutions, BVB slipped to a 5-2 defeat against the fourth-placed side in Bundesliga South.
