For the home game against Eintracht Frankfurt, Borussia Dortmund will equip some of the stewards with a so-called body flag for the first time. That way, the BVB security staff can help paramedics in the event of a medical emergency in the stands. An employee will carry a body flag at every grandstand entrance.

The approximately 2-metre long telescopic rod has a red flag on the top which, if necessary, can help the paramedics get to where they are needed when the standing area is packed. In future, the body flag will also be used by the security staff outside and at the entrances. That can help buy the first aiders valuable minutes.

In order to avoid any misunderstandings, Borussia Dortmund is publishing images of the body flag and how it attaches to the belt in the run-up to the game.
