On Monday, a delegation of members of parliament from the BeNeLux states and the State Parliament of North-Rhine Westphalia were guests at the SIGNAL IDUNA PARK to find out about fan work at Borussia Dortmund. Björn Hegemann, head of the Supporters' Affairs Department, gave an insight into the work done by fan representatives at BVB.

The all-party parliamentary group for BeNeLux at the State Parliament of North-Rhine Westphalia, as well as members of parliament from the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg is currently dealing with the topic "Safety at sports events" and its cross-border aspects within the framework of the political work of the BeNeLux Union, with a particular focus on the involvement of fan groups. To find out about the work done by football clubs and their fan groups, the delegation had asked Borussia Dortmund in advance about a work visit.

After BVB director of organisation Dr. Christian Hockenjos had welcomed the delegation, Kai Ruben, security manager and head of the Organisation Department, talked about the procedures, tasks and some key figures for home games. Björn Hegemann then explained the strategic and operations-based fan work done by BVB. To round off the day, the delegation took a themed tour through the SIGNAL IDUNA PARK.
