People often say that if you learn something once then it's not easily forgotten. BVB's former number 1, Roman Weidenfeller, stopped by the BVB Evonik Football Academy to give an impressive demonstration of the truth behind this saying. The former Germany international and World Cup winner didn't want to pass on the opportunity to help the coaching team at the academy film another addition to the popular home game course video series.

With some help from our goalkeeping coach Rüdiger, Roman has prepared an extra special home game course for you! Correct positioning, hand-eye coordination and reaction saves - both goalkeeping experts worked up a sweat as they toiled through the training session! A healthy blend of hard-work and laughs were enough to see Roman and the team put together another brilliant home game video. During his visit to the academy, Roman confessed to us that he used to like watching motivational videos to prepare himself for upcoming matches. Now he's the one standing in front of the camera to prepare you, the footballers of tomorrow, for a training session from the comfort of your own homes.

When we asked him what defines a good goalkeeper, Roman was clear in his response: ''Concede as few goals as possible!'' It's good to see that the market ambassador for BVB hasn't changed much since his playing days, when he was known for being a straightforward guy who always got the job done. But is Roman able to do press-ups while balancing on two footballs? Can he make it through the step ladder while balancing on one leg and controlling a ball with the other?

Our main lesson from the day: what a great guy Roman is!
