Borussia's U17s took another step in the right direction at the weekend as they beat SV Lippstadt 08 6-2 to claim their third victory of the season and cement their place among the Bundesliga's leading pack. "It was a decent performance, overall. We're on the right track," declared head coach Sebastian Geppert.

The most prolific player was Isaak Nwachukwu, who notched a hat-trick in the first half. Two further goals were scored by Niclas Dühring, who also had a penalty saved by Lippstadt's goalkeeper Janis Kindler. The opening goal had been scored by Jonah Husseck. Borussia had been without Vasco Walz (torn muscle fibres) and Jaden Korzynietz (hip problems), who was a late withdrawal. (wiwi)
