Having made some injury-enforced changes, Borussia only really found their flow in the second half. It finished 1-1 in Frankfurt. Here are the initial match reactions.

Emre Can: "We didn't play well in the first half. But Eintracht were super. We wanted to change that in the second half and we deserved the equaliser we scored to make it 1-1. In the end we could've even won, but a 1-1 draw is a fair result as well. It wasn't easy for me. I wasn't able to train for the whole week; I was experiencing pain in my foot. I came back today and wanted to help the team as we had problems at the back. Mats had taken a knock as well and didn't train yesterday. I also want to pay a compliment to the team: it's not easy to play here in Frankfurt; we had a lot of players out with injury problems and we showed a good fight. Dan was outstanding today after such a long time out injured; we definitely need him for the future. We need to keep battling until Christmas, as we want to get a few more points."

Roman Bürki: "We've played a lot of games; you could see that in the first half. We had a few players on the pitch who have recently been injured. We were lacking a bit of rhythm. We couldn't speed the play up; we often needed a bit of time to find solutions. We didn't play badly in the second half, scored a goal and came back into it. With a bit of luck, we might've even got the win."
