With four wins, a draw and a defeat, Borussia Dortmund reached the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 as group winners. It was a night to remember for both the oldest and youngest players in the squad. Here are the match facts.

Hard-fought: The shot count finished 15-14 (6-5 on target) in favour of the visitors, who also enjoyed 55% possession. Borussia covered three kilometres more than their opponents (116 vs. 113).

Successful: It was the fourth-most successful group stage campaign in 15 UEFA Champions League participations for Borussia Dortmund, who picked up 13 points. Their best was 15 points in 1997/98, followed by 14 points in both 2012/13 and 2016/17. They also previously amassed 13 points in 1996/97, 2014/15 and 2018/19.

Debut: Ansgar Knauff made his first professional appearance at the age of 18 years, 10 months and 28 days – and in the Champions League no less.

First: Lukasz Piszczek, 35, scored his first Champions League goal on his 54th appearance in the competition. He had previously netted five times in 37 appearances in other European competitions.

History: Youssoufa Moukoko came off the bench to become the youngest player in Champions League history at the age of 16 years and 18 days. That record was previously held by Nigerian Celestine Babayaro, who made his debut for RSC Anderlecht on 23 November 1994 at the age of 16 years and 86 days. (br)
