Borussia celebrated a well-deserved victory after an impressive performance. The statistics underline the hosts' superiority: 14-5 shots, 10-1 corners, 57% duels won and 64% possession. Even going behind and missing a penalty couldn't put BVB off their stride. Here are the match facts:

Halted: Borussia Dortmund halted a run of three games without a win (one draw followed by two defeats) with their tenth victory of the season.

Turnaround: The Black and Yellows equalised after going 0-1 down for the fourth game in a row, managing their second comeback win of the season (previously on Matchday 8 in the 5-2 away win at Hertha BSC).

Staying the distance: 30 of BVB's 38 goals this season (79 percent) have come after the break.

Landmark: In his 95th game, Jadon Sancho scored his 33rd Bundesliga goal – becoming the youngest player (20.85 years) to reach that mark in history. Sancho took the record from Klaus Fischer (20.86 years). For the first 13 matches of the season before the winter break, Sancho had failed to find the back of the net. In 2021, he has already scored three times (previously on Matchday 14 at home to Wolfsburg and Matchday 15 away to Leipzig).

Finished: For the first time since 11 May 2019, Thomas Delaney was directly involved in a goal in the Bundesliga. That day, he scored in a 3-2 home win against Fortuna Düsseldorf. For Delaney, it ends a run of 21 Bundesliga matches without a goal. He has scored six of his 11 Bundesliga goals with his head.

Winning streak: Marwin Hitz made his third appearance in the Bundesliga this season, coming in for Roman Bürki, who had a slight shoulder injury. On Matchday 3 and Matchday 4, he was in goal for Dortmund, earning a victory bonus and keeping a clean sheet in both games (4-0 at home to Freiburg, 1-0 away at 1899 Hoffenheim). Hitz was last in the BVB goal just before Christmas, in the 2-0 victory in the DFB Cup at Eintracht Braunschweig. Overall, it was his 19th competitive game in Black and Yellow. His record: 16 wins, one draw, two defeats.

Missed: Erling Haaland stepped up to take his second penalty in the Bundesliga and failed to score for the first time. He scored his first penalty on Matchday 1 of this season against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

First: For the first time in this Bundesliga season, BVB scored following a free kick.

Anniversary: Marco Reus made his 200th Bundesliga appearance for Borussia Dortmund. He has scored 94 goals for BVB in the Bundesliga.

Own goal: For the first time since 26 August 2018, BVB benefited from an own goal in the Bundesliga. That day, Marcel Sabitzer put the ball in his own net in a 4-1 home win against Leipzig.
