The Covid-19 tests which the players in the Borussia Dortmund Regionalliga squad regularly undergo have revealed two positive cases in the past few days.

In order to protect the health of players and employees alike, the team subsequently went into an initial voluntary isolation. "Fortunately, our hygiene concept proved effective here and hopefully we were able to prevent a major spread," explained team manager Ingo Preuß. Due to the immediate contact tracing conducted and the resulting need for other players in the squad to quarantine, coach Enrico Maaßen no longer has even 10 players available. "The match on Saturday in Rödinghausen cannot take place under such circumstances," stated Ingo Preuß.

The following home game against Bergisch-Gladbach will not be able to take place either.
