In Sporting Lisbon, Besiktas and Ajax, Borussia Dortmund have been drawn against three attractive opponents in the UEFA Champions League. Those three games will be interesting for many BVB fans not only from a sporting perspective, but as travel destinations as well.

Now, in a workshop with all the clubs involved, UEFA has announced that a ticket contingent in the amount of 5 percent of the permitted stadium capacity will be allocated to away fans. This was the quota already implemented in European competitions before the corona pandemic.

However, the 5 percent rule is always dependent on the conditions put in place to contain the corona pandemic by the local authorities at each venue. For example, no away fans are currently permitted in Turkey, and no foreign fans are allowed in the stadia either. As a result, Borussia Dortmund will unfortunately not receive tickets for the first group game in Istanbul on 15 September.

We will inform you about the matches in Amsterdam and Lisbon as early as the pandemic situation permits. According to local regulations, foreign away fans are currently allowed at both venues. However, due to the dynamic pace at which the pandemic develops, these regulations may yet change by the respective match dates on 19 October (Amsterdam) and 24 November (Lisbon).
