U19 head coach Mike Tullberg is looking ahead with excitement to his side's big game in the UEFA Youth League. ''It's fantastic for us to be able to go up against one of the best football academies in Europe,'' he said ahead of the match away to Ajax on Tuesday (19 October).

The Dutch side have started their campaign in Europe's elite youth competition with a 1-1 draw away to Sporting Lisbon and a 3-1 win at home Besiktas. BVB, on the other hand, won their first game 3-2 away to Besiktas and then drew 0-0 with Sporting. ''Ajax are a really good team,'' said Tullberg.

Albin Thaqi is dropping down from the U23s to join the squad, which will otherwise remain unchanged. Both Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Lion Semic remain unavailable due to injury. There will be a reunion with familiar faces for Julian Rijkoff, who moved to BVB from Ajax last year and is likely to partner Bradley Fink up front.
