Borussia Dortmund's U23s will play their last fixture of the year on Saturday afternoon when they host FSV Zwickau at the Rote Erde stadium. Kick-off for the match, the first of the second half-season, is scheduled for 14:00 CET.

An eventful first half-season came to a close last weekend with a 2-0 loss against TSG 1860 Munich. Despite the loss, BVB sit eighth in the table with an impressive 27 points. ''That's really solid for a newly-promoted side, we're happy with our points total,'' says BVB coach Enrico Maaßen. The first three points were picked up in Zwickau on the opening day of the season. Goals from Immanuel Pherai and Tobi Raschl gave the Black & Yellows a 2-1 win after Ronny König put Zwickau in front early on. While BVB quickly established themselves in the top third of the table, the team from Saxony found themselves locked in a relegation battle.

The Swans have lost just one of their last ten league games, but six of these have ended in stalemate. With a total of eleven draws in the current season, FSV are the current draw kings of the 3. Liga. Coach Joe Enochs' team have lost just four games in the league - fewer than any other team. Only last Wednesday, FSV fought their way to a 1-1 draw against league leaders and promotion favourites Magdeburg. Zwickau are currently 13th in the table with 23 points.

The Black & Yellows want to, in the words of Maaßen, "give it their all" again this weekend. The coach will have to make do without Niklas Dams, Richmond Tachie, Luca Unbehaun and Marco Pasalic. Antonios Papadopoulos returns to the squad after his yellow-card suspension.

Tickets for the game are still available on advance sale.
