BVB youngsters claim two friendly wins
Borussia's Bundesliga youth teams continued their preparations for the spring season with two friendly victories.
The U19s beat Werder Bremen, currently in second place in the Bundesliga Nord/Nordost, 1-0 in an intense match. The only goal of the game was scored by Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, who converted a penalty that he himself had won. Next up on the mid-season friendly list is the Wuppertaler SV senior team, who play in the Regionalliga, on Sunday (30 January).
The U17s won their first friendly back after a break of almost three months 6-1 against the SG Unterrath U19s. Sebastian Geppert's team fell 1-0 behind in the opening stages but ultimately came from behind to run out 6-1 winners. Having equalised via an own goal, Raul König (2), Alex Niziolek (2) and Bismark Quayson scored for BVB. (wiwi)
