Borussia Dortmund's U23s can announce another new signing ahead of the start of pre-season training next week. Central defender Mario Suver has joined BVB from 1. FC Nuremberg.

The 22-year-old defender played 12 games in the 2. Bundesliga last season. The Stuttgart native also played 13 times for Nuremberg's Regionalliga side.

Suver came through the academy of the Stuttgarter Kickers, where he was initially used as a striker. In the summer of 2018, he moved to VfB Stuttgart, before joining Nuremberg a year later, where has scored once in 46 games at various levels. The defender celebrated his professional debut against HSV in Hamburg's Volksparkstadion.
