We held a successful campaign to pack relief boxes to help the needy people in Ukraine. At the end of last week, more than 100 volunteers spent two days packing almost 1,800 boxes full of food and equipment for both young and old, showing a lot of dedication, commitment and warmth. In close cooperation with the aid organisation Libereco, dozens of helping hands were busy beneath the West stand of SIGNAL IDUNA PARK, actively organising, folding, sorting, packing, sealing and stacking boxes.

Be it flour, rice, pasta, oil, shampoo, nappies, baby food or toilet paper, in some cases, Russia's aggression has left Ukraine's civilian population in the crisis areas lacking what they need most. Through the joint aid and box packing campaign, it was possible to have a truck packed with these and other necessary goods driven to Ukraine. A few months ago, the BVB first team, members, fans and staff had already implemented a joint fundraising campaign and thus sent the first 160 tons of medical supplies.

Due to the great willingness to help, the impressive dedication and the remarkable commitment of the numerous volunteers, it was even possible to complete all the necessary work in last week's box packing campaign in the stadium a day earlier than planned. BVB and Libereco would therefore like to thank all those involved for once again showing the great togetherness of the BVB family and above all for showing solidarity with the people who need help the most. The fundraising campaign was launched several months ago, and you can still donate using this link

The fundraising campaign is designed to help with the humanitarian aid work of  and its Ukrainian partner organisation Vostok SOS. Together, the two institutions are organising help for people in the danger zone, providing medicines and bandages and helping with evacuation or the search for temporary accommodation.

Thank you for your great help and support!
