BVB will be able to use the full capacity and power of SIGNAL IDUNA PARK in the UEFA Champions League for the first time in the 2022/23 season and – with standing now reintroduced – will be able to play in front of a home crowd of 81,365. Ahead of the draw for the group phase on Thursday, we would like to provide BVB fans with the most important ticketing information for the home and away games so that there can be planning certainty in spite of the short time period between the draw and the opening game of the group stages.

Information for home games:

  • South Stand season ticket holders WITH an international package can watch the Champions League games from their regular Bundesliga standing block. The alternative seat printed on the plastic season ticket card is invalid and no longer relevant for the time being. The plastic season ticket can still be used. Holders of a digital season ticket shall be informed as soon as individual tickets for the Champions League can be accessed online via the Ticket Shop under "Orders" in the "My Account" tab.
  • South Stand season ticket holders WITHOUT an international package shall of course be given priority treatment when it comes to being in the South Stand for international matches. All holders of a South Stand season ticket with the "Bundesliga & domestic" package will have the option for a limited time only to reserve a ticket for the group-stage matches (online via the Ticket Shop in the "My Account" section) at a season ticket discount price (adults: Є35 for the three games). The reservation can be confirmed between 10:00 CET on Tuesday (30/08) and 17:00 CET on Thursday 01/09. Following confirmation of the reservation, individual digital tickets for all three Champions League home games shall be issued. These will be then be accessible online immediately after the completion of the purchase and shall be stored in "My Account" at all times. Correspondingly, the plastic season ticket card with the Bundesliga and domestic package will not be valid for the international matches! Important information for ticket holders in the South Stand blocks 12/13: Due to block-specific allocation, no individual digital tickets can be issued. In this case, hard tickets will be sent/issued.
  • All South Stand season ticket holders with the international package who have confirmed tickets for group stage matches online shall of course also have a right of reservation for possible knockout games. For reasons of fairness, however, only those who were also present for the group phase will receive a an offer to reserve for the knockout matches.
  • In the event that BVB play at home at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK on the opening matchday of the group stages (6/7 September), match tickets will initially be available exclusively to members on a first come, first served basis (online via the Ticket Shop from 10:00 CET on Tuesday 30 August). If there are still tickets available afterwards, a general ticket sale will follow at 10:00 CET on Wednesday 31 August. Due to the short time span between the fixture scheduling and the first home game, the usual sale procedure via the new raffle system is, in this exceptional case, not possible.

Information for the away games:

Should BVB be away from home on the first matchday, tickets will also be sold online to club members via the Ticket Shop at 10:00 CET on Tuesday 30 August. Important: In this scenario, away tickets CANNOT be shipped due to the short time frame. The tickets may only be ordered for collection. One possibility to pick up the purchased tickets will be at the game against TSG Hoffenheim (Friday 2 September) from the external windows of the BVB Fan World during the admission period between 18:00 CET and 20:30 CET. Another possibility open to all ticket buyers will be to pick them up at the match venue. Further information will follow once it is available.
