Kolbeinn Finnsson will leave the Borussia Dortmund U23s to join Danish top-flight outfit Lyngby BK with immediate effect. The 23-year-old's contract would have expired this summer.

The Iceland international moved to BVB from the reserves of English Premier League side Brentford in the summer of 2019 and made 78 appearances for the Black & Yellows. During that time, he scored four goals and notched four assists. The all-rounder played every position on the left side – from central defence to the left of midfield – and was more or less a constant for the BVB second team.

"Kolli has played for BVB for over three years and always given everything. He's a good guy who will definitely make his mark in Denmark too," said Ingo Preuss, the U23 sporting director, as he bade farewell to the Icelander.
