At the press conference, Edin Terzic spoke about the match and fielded questions from journalists. We took notes.

Edin Terzic on the first half:
"The first loss of possession resulted in the first opposition corner and we were 1-0 down in the opening stages again. The team showed a really good reaction to that, quickly rewarded themselves with the equaliser and also had the most goalscoring chances during that period. Then Mainz switched it up and defended in a 5-4-1. That caused us more problems. Nonetheless, we had control over the game in the first half."

...on the second half:
"Then it was unfortunately no longer so clear. Both teams played an open game from the 60th minute. We're the lucky winners thanks to almost the last kick. It could've gone in all three directions. We're happy we've started with six points."

...on Gio Reyna's second winning goal in the space of three days:
"We'd hoped that when it came to accelerating the play, he would look to get the ball even more. The fact that he did his job at the back post from a set-piece is very positive. It's excellent for him that he got on the scoresheet with the winning goal once again and we hope he will continue in exactly the same vein."

...on another goal scored by a substitute:
"Even before the match, we were the team with the most substitute goals. That's what we want: for the lads who come onto the pitch later on to be able to be decisive for us."

...on the winning goal coming from a set-piece:
"That's our fifth set-piece goal in the past seven matches. We were lacking in that area beforehand. If we can decide matches that way, we're of course happy to do that. But we also fell behind once again due to a set-piece goal. That didn't go the way we wanted it to."
