Greece secured their place at the 2014 World Cup finals with a 4-2 (3-1, 1-1) aggregate win over Romania, with BVB ‘s Sokratis playing the full 90 minutes in both games. The defender was one of 11 Borussia Dortmund players on international duty in the past week. Here's a quick round-up.

Germany played two international friendlies against Italy (1-1) and England (1-0), with Mats Hummels (90 minutes, one goal against Italy/20 minutes against England, brought on and off again with an injury), Marcel Schmelzer (0/45 minutes), Marco Reus (31/82), Sven Bender (23/90) and Roman Weidenfeller (0/90) featuring in one or both matches. Jonas Hofmann was substituted at half-time in Germany Under-21’s 1-1 draw with Montenegro, and only came on in the final minute of their 2-2 draw against Romania, while Erik Durm missed both games because of a knee problem.

Jakub Blaszczykowski and Robert Lewandowski played the full 90 minutes in Poland’s 2-0 loss to Slovakia, and were substituted in the 0-0 draw with Ireland after 89 and 60 minutes, respectively.

Whether Mitch Langerak made his third appearance for Australia in the 1-0 win over Costa Rica is not yet known.
